Sure thing! Well, I applied to Mannes for vocal performance and have committed to going there in the fall!
I got the vibe from the school that it’s an excellent training place. Performance opportunities exist, but aren’t exactly a large part of the curriculum. However, I love the importance they place on musical academics (so to speak) like theory and ear training (etc). Also, the audition consisted of a theory test, dictation test, and interview/sight-singing portion followed by a singing (or in your case - playing) audition. I’d be happy to tell you anything else if you have questions. I am so excited for August until I get to start at Mannes! Best of luck!!
